i swear that i have a disorder

to which you say, "What? Only one? My, my, my, you're being quite generous today." I'm punchy, so yep, its gonna be that kind of post....somewhat snarky and definitely disjointed. After work and rush hour tomorrow night, I am heading to NJ and my dad's house, to crash for the night so I can start my Friday on the right side of the river. Beginning Friday morning and running through the weekend is the Expo Crop, where I get to hang out, laugh and drink with friends like Mish, Prachi, and the Jinks girls....and hopefully, make some things with paper. Notice how that falls in the priority of things? Well, you might have figured that out by the looks of things around here. I'd show you with a picture if I wasn't completely ashamed by the state of my house right now. I have not packed a lick. Well, I hastily threw some clothes that matched and a clean pair of pajamas into my suitcase, but I have not started packing my scrap stuff, which, to anyone who knows me, (a) is the more daunting packing task, and (b) is no surprise. Which leads me to my disease. I call it procrastinitis....more serious than your run of the mill procrastination. I seriously think the solution to this problem involves a therapist and perhaps some prescription drugs. I told my father what time I was leaving tomorrow night and ergo, what time he should expect me. It has to be a decent hour, because Debbie goes to bed early. Its a small house. You hear everything. So I have to be respectful when it comes to sleeping in the house I grew up in....in the room that used to be mine but no longer contains any trace of me. But I'm digressing. I have known since Sunday that my plan is to leave tomorrow night around 7. I've got lists out the wazoo...things to pack, things that I need to do before I leave and what days to do them on, stupid shit like that that does me no good, especially when I lose a list or two, which I am famous for doing. And I have not done shit to be ready to leave on my own schedule, except for emptying my trunk and cleaning the garbage out of my car, both of which I literally did within the last hour.
Aside from the procrastinitis, I'm also more distracted than usual. I finally took a step into the 21st century and got myself a laptop, a second-hand one that I paid for with Vera Bradley items (thanks Megs!). I had a computer-savvy friend of my dad's strip and reload it with the programs I need in order to do work at home. But this computer also has a wireless card and somewhere in my house there is a fleeting wireless signal. So I've been spending my past few nights uploading music to the itunes on my new computer (I have yet to move what I can from itunes on my old computer, but the bulk of my songs are on an external hard drive, so I don't have much to move). Do I need to do this before I go cropping? Certainly not, well, maybe since I am in charge of the music for our group, yet here I sit, using my newly installed wireless router (love it!) to continue with the cd importing, with preliminary piles of some of the scrap crap that I want to take with me sitting on the end of the dining room table.....ignoring my lists and blogging. And its 10:30. I have to get moving!!

how much do I love this show?

If you're not watching this, you should be. Yes, its based on the premise of the movie. But I've never seen the movie. And after getting myself involved with this show, I now have no desire to see the movie. This show has some of the best writing on TV, with characters that stick with you once the closing credits roll. Its so good that I can't bring myself to delete the last three or four episodes from the DVR.
The season finale is next Wednesday at 8:00. You can watch all the prior episodes online at NBC. I can't wait until season one comes out on DVD. I'm that dedicated.
Clear eyes...full hearts...can't lose.
